Terms of Service

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be 13+ to use the service and provide accurate information. You're responsible for your account and login. Businesses must have authority to enroll the business they register.

2. The Loyalty Program

• Points are earned by checking in via QR at participating Businesses and other promotions. Points have no cash value, are not transferable, and may expire or be adjusted for errors, fraud, or abuse.
• Vouchers/rewards redeemed with points are subject to availability and expiry shown at issuance. Participating Businesses may set their own acceptance terms and limits.
• Tiers, challenges, streaks, referrals and bonuses are promotional and may change or end at any time.
• We may modify, suspend, or end the program or any feature, with notice where required.

3. Fair Use & Fraud

You agree not to: create fake check-ins, automate or manipulate points, scan codes you didn't legitimately obtain, use another's account, or interfere with the service. We use anti-fraud controls (signed QR codes, check-in limits, self-check-in blocks) and may void points/vouchers or suspend accounts for violations.

4. Business Subscriptions

• Businesses ("Founding Pillars") pay a recurring subscription (currently $50/month) billed via Stripe. No commission on member rewards.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancel anytime to stop future charges. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Optional paid features (e.g. campaigns, sponsored placement) are billed as disclosed at purchase.
• Businesses must honor rewards/vouchers per the terms they configure and applicable law.

5. Acceptable Use

Don't use the service unlawfully, infringe others' rights, upload harmful or misleading content (including receipts you didn't incur), or attempt to breach security.

6. Intellectual Property

HLB and its content, marks, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You get a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose. Content you submit (e.g. business listings, deal images) grants us a license to display and operate the service.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, specific results, foot traffic, or that any Business will honor a reward. Interactions with Businesses are between you and them.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HLB is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for amounts exceeding the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify HLB against claims arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [STATE], unless otherwise required by law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use means acceptance.
